feeling much better now. Guess that means I'll be heading back to work tomorrow then. We have a very strange sick leave system at work, which counts the sheer number of absences rather than the total amount of days off. It's a bit self defeating, as everyone tends to spend longer off than they need to and doesn't promote coming back to work early. Conversely, if you're near the limit for the year and are really ill, you tend to struggle in and infect everyone else. Very strange indeed.
Something that I've been meaning to mention for a while is viewing figures in Britain. The total number of tv recording boxes in Britain that all the figures are worked out from : 3,500. Given a guestimated 50-60 million people in Britain, that's 0.007% of the population. How the hell does that work? How can you seriously work out viewing figures for everyone based on that percentage? Plus, there's one recording box per household, and that's based on the main tv screen. Doesn't take into account any other tv sets around, like in the teenager's bedroom for example. Only recording the type of tv watched by the parent type people mostly, ie soaps, gardening programs and DIY shows. Gah. No wonder TV is in the state it is now.
And dangermonki? Nice new icon.
