Dead Dog update

September 9th, 2008 (05:24 pm)

After a busy morning on the telephone, I think I know what's up next.

Enviromental Health is refusing to have anything to do with it themselves (because it's my property), but are basically saying get a shovel, some rubber gloves and a binbag and stick it in the landfill. Gee, makes me glad I pay my Council tax.

The RSPCA are perfectly willing to take it off my hands and stick it in one of their freezers for proper disposal as long as I can manage to bring it to them in the afore-mentioned black binbag by 12 noon. Which would involve me walking over to them for twenty-odd minutes carrying that bag and, as you can tell by the time right now, just ain't going to happen today.

So, I'm hoping things will get sorted out soon enough. Note to self : get black bin bags. Lots of 'em.

Bill Nye the Science Guy

Can you just bury it in your gardenette, or does the fact that it's an apartment building preclude this from happening?

That would solve your bin-bag issue, as well as your hiking for 20 mintues with a dead dog.

I mean, if you're going to have to get a shovel anyway...
