The latest on the great Electrity Saga

June 29th, 2007 (01:25 pm)

That appointment they made, wrote down and sent to me for today? The one where they swore they'd turn up this time for the third appointment they'd made? To finally, finally unwire my off-peak meter from the direct rate charges? That required me to be awake and in all day from 8am to 1pm?

Yeah, you can see just where this is going.

They didn't turn up. Apparently, they canceled it themselves due to confusion over the off-peak meter no longer existing and didn't bother to tell me. New date of next Friday afternoon - could have had Wednesday, but that would have been any time between 8am to 6pm.

Urge to kill... rising.

Tell them you've lost a day's wages and ask for compensation.

BtVS - Anya Just Wish Already

Seconded. This is the third time they've done this. There needs to be some sort of recompense or at least a grand gesture.

If you need help drafting a wonderfully polite letter (with obvious "I'm so totally FURIOUS" undertones), let me know. Writing formal, proper letters that essentially say "Go FUCK yourselves" is one of my specialties.

They really are a bunch of incompetent bastards, aren't they?

Stargate - Siler - Tech Support Guy - No

Well, if it makes you feel any better, the phone company installed the T1 Line (I think that you lot call them E1 lines across the pond) in the wrong building. And... it needed to be in TODAY.

Though, I probably shouldn't mention that I busted everyone's balls and they sent a tech out this morning to swing that bastard over to the right spot...
