Quick Fic Update / Roundup

April 30th, 2004 (01:39 am)
tired

current mood: tired
current song: Franz Ferdinand - Matinee

Typically, after that last great big listing I did, I forgot some things.

I forgot to mention TEATS which I can now reveal to actually be The Empress and the Scoobies (coming soon, I hope) which is empressvesica's reward fic for doing well on her giving up smoking. Plus, I then posted a new part to one story that I'd mentioned I was going to give up on.

All in all, I'm glad that I've managed to do another one of the 20 minute challenges now :
The Watcher and the Master. While Remo and Buffy face off, Chiun and Clem discuss their mutual tastes. Part of Jinni's 20 minutes with Clem challenge.

Oh yes, and anyone in Britain might want to check out their local WHSmith - mine had a particularly nice deal on today in their sale section, where there was this special set of a Buffy mug, Buffy keyring and Buffy the movie on DVD all for £4.00. Bargain! And while I was there, I also picked up The Da Vinci Code which laney_1974 recommended to me. Anyone else like it? Cos it was that or the third Jasper Fforde book....

Well, I liked the new chapter...

I've had The Da Vinci Code</i> recommended to me, quite enthusiastically, by one of the blokes who catches the same train as me in the mornings. I'd be interested to know what you think of it though!

Da Vinci Code

Seriously fucks with your head at times, tying so many things in altogether : The true nature of the Holy Grail, the missing gospels, The Mona Lisa, and Da Vinci's Last Supper (I found myself heading at full speed to the internet at one point just to pull up a copy of the Last Supper to look at - try here if you want to look.)

Hell of a good read though, and almost impossible to put down. I did guess the bad guy pretty easily though, mind you.

Re: Da Vinci Code

Hmm... Sounds like it's worth a look. Will add it to my ever-growing list!

Incidentally, thanks for the review on ff.net! There is a 'sequal' in the works. It's just gone for a second beta-ing.
