That Peter Kay thing

So, in honour of Peter Kay's appearing on Doctor Who tonight, ten of his best pearls of wisdom. *grin*

1) In every plate of chips, there is a bad chip.

2) Everyone had an uncle who tried to steal their nose.

3) People who don't drive slam car doors too hard.

4) The most painful household incident is wearing socks and stepping on an upturned plug.

5) There's no panic like the panic you momentarily feel when you've got your hand or head stuck in something.

6) The most embarrassing thing you can do as a schoolchild is call your teacher mum or dad.

7) You're never quite sure whether it's OK to eat green crisps.

8) Everyone always remembers the day a dog ran into your school.

9) Nobody ever dares make cup-a-soup in a bowl.

10) One of the most awkward things that can happen in a pub is when your pint-to-toilet cycle gets synchronised with a complete stranger.

Doctor Who 2.10 Love and Monsters

So definitely a love it or hate it episode. Even more than Girl in the Fireplace. Personally, I mildly liked it.

In general, an interesting attempt at showing just what happens at the edges of the Doctor's adventures. And yet, it's very much Russell T Davies to a nutshell - full of moments that will be remembered and quoted for ages, but not a brilliant plot structure. Overall, I liked.

Time to panic?

So time_and_chips and in particular doyle_sb4 were glimpsed in the latest Doctor Who Confidental. Which means one of two reactions will be occuring there - mass panic and wholesale deletion of stuff, or much more likely, things will get more direct.

I predict more explicit posts (though, given they've already emailed the lady who does the costumes about how David Tennent's trousers do up, that'll be hard), more posts with headings directed at the BBC - i.e. BBC - PLEASE PASS ON TO DAVID (which will probably get user comments consisting of "....Wait. This is your phone number only. No fic?") and pleas to RTD to either get rid of things or bring certain things back.

In short, chaos will reign for at least the next three weeks.

This'll be fun. *grins*

EDIT: The time_and_chips reaction thread.
