gianfared, absolut_jmo and foxfire74 over the last couple of days - they're all hysterically funny and lovely and I almost never want to head on back to Florida now. Nice to have a slight break from the Florida humidity, and just enjoy the marvels of the North Carolina countryside. Gia has the most beautiful house, and family - and she's a great cook, too! Only slight hiccup has been the getting lost on a literally five minute trip from the hotel to her house, which I'm sure Ves will claim was totally not her fault. :P That, and the animals determined to throw themselves in front of our rental car (current count : two deer, and one squirrel). Thankfully, no animals were harmed in the making of this lj post.Flying back to Florida today, always assuming there's no delay from tropical storm Tammy now.
