Quick fic pimp, and a mini-rant

Gods and Monsters - a post-Never Fade Away fic, where things have gotten even worse since Angel's last stand, Faith is sent around central America on a never ending spiral of Slaying, desperately trying to keep a lid on the area and sebsequent tensions. Battered, bruised, always tired, Faith sees someone she knows is dead....

Marvelously lyrical in places, deeply touching and absolutely absorbing.

Gods and Monsters parts 1 and 2 can be found here, part 3 here and part 4 here.

Trust me - read this.

And anyone who was hoping for a reasonable adaptation of Alan Moore's V For Vendetta might as well give up now. Here's a sample of the dialogue as written by the Wachowski brothers.

Here is, word for word, the speech written for V when first meeting Evey.

He indicates his mask

V

"This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vangquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.

The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."

Evey

Are you like, a crazy-person?

Add in that X-Men 3 is now looking for their third director, it's not looking too good for comic related films in the near future. Bring on Batman Begins!
