Spike comic update

April 13th, 2005 (11:54 am)
amused

current mood: amused

Remember a few weeks back I mentioned the upcoming Spike one-shot comic by Peter David? The one starting immeadiately after William leaves that party with Cecily? Cecily most definitely is Halfrek is all I'm saying....

Did you want to see some of the art for it?

You do? Click here and enjoy.

I suspect houses7177 and foxfire74 will be clicking very quickly indeed. *winks*

Damn. That's some good art.

I love your icon. I should find and/or make myself a good Hermione icon, too.

I think we're looking at July or more probably August at the moment.

When I get a firm date, I'll let people know.

*huggles back*

Dare I ask about the play?

And I realise that as it's Lost and Alias night, you probably won't be around tonight either. *sniff*

OOoh, pretty. I've never really bothered to look at the Buffy comics. Should I? I mean are we get any great new cosomology for Buffyverse or worthwhile backstories?

I was curious about the Tales of the Slayers. Hmm...

*feels a new obsession coming on*

*hits it with a shovel* Hey, we have a system for this. There are three other potential obsessions in line ahead of this one. *nudges it with her toe* Maybe I should just kill this one now....

Comics-wise, I don't tend to buy stuff unless it's been recommended by somebody I like. Or unless Peter David is involved. Or Phil Foglio (must catch up on Girl Genius.) But I second the recommendation for "Fray", which my library was polite enough to have in trade paperback. Wonderfully Whedon-y, without being a Buffy rehash.

Hm. You do realize that every time I start talking about books on somebody else's LJ, I take it over in short order? I swear, I don't do it on purpose... (sorry booster17)

Doctor Strangelove

I've never really bothered to look at the Buffy comics. Should I?

I've read a few, and I'm not really a comic book person, I do like to read them once in a while...

That having been said...

Most of them are okay. Some are better than others.

I really liked FRAY. (in fact, someone started a BTVS/Fray/Hellboy crossover a while back. I can't remember who, though. May have been Nopporn Wangrassame or Don Sample.)

I don't remember if I've read Tales of the Slayers or not. I don't think I have.

I am going to buy this Spike one, though. Just because Peter David wrote it. I really like to read his stuff. I can remember this one part of "The Captain's Daughter" where Chekov is trying to order a drink in a bar. The only problem is that the waiter doesn't seem to be able to understand him through his accent. "I don't think we have wotka, sir." To which Chekov responds by ordering a screwdriver without the orange juice.

Okay. It's funnier in the book.

And don't get me started on Imzadi. That's pure comedic gold.

*click*

*blink*

*swoon*

*resumes plans for stalking the nearest comics store*

*has too damn many things to stalk right now anyway*

*will now stop talking about herself in the third person*

Speaking of things-to-stalk, did you know there's some modders trying to restore a bunch of the cut material from Knights 2? I'm crossing my fingers that it'll work out, 'cause the endgame could've been so much better...

*goes back to the click-blink-swoon thing*

Hermione - Know everything

You do know that the HK-50 robot factory level is still on the disc, right? They just removed all access to it from the game itself.

But, if you happen to be able to download modified game saves (I strongly suspect you need X-box live AND a modded X-Box), you can play it.
