Wallace : There's a slightly less angry young woman who's just dying to bake me something. You're a marshmallow, Veronica Mars. from the pilot if I'm not very much mistaken.
And this week? She's baking him all the snickerdoodles. Awwwww....
Nice mystery-of-the-week I thought. Introduced a whole new setting (two if you include truckstop 15) and a whole new rivalry for Neptune High - some of which is just crying out for introduction into various fics and plot bunnies (wonder if it's too late to change the motel in California Screaming to the Neptune Grand? Can I get away with that?) But I'm ashamed to admit that they got me on the 13 on the shoe trick. Doh! *head-desk* I did suspect
Lilly arc - Celeste and Jake were in the motel room at the time that Lilly died, according to Lianne Mars. But let us not forget the speeding ticket which showed Lilly still alive a couple of hours after she officially died. Jake and Celeste's alibi's are still not holding up at this point. Hmmmm... Clarence still needs his role to be fully explained, and now Abel has a daughter? Ten to one she's Veronica's age. Interesting question now - did Keith Mars go after Jake because he suspected Lianne was in the hotel room, or was it because he picked up on the differences between Jake and Celeste's stories?
Random likes - Veronica's plan to tip Clarence into action; sneaky, sneaky girl. The friction arising naturally between Meg and Veronica. Veronica changing her mind and going into the gym just to watch her friend. Awwwww... And loved, loved, loved the bargaining between Clemmens and Veronica.
