Long day

March 19th, 2005 (11:53 pm)

Foolishly agreed to do some overtime at work today (mainly to save a bit more up for the Empress's visit - tiara's ain't cheap!) and managed to get back in time to catch the so called Doctor Who night. This basically consisted of an hour documentary, and a special edition of Mastermind. Yeah - that's special.

And have even more foolishly agree to travel down to Milton Keynes tomorrow morning to help a friend get a trailer tent. Because he's going at stupid o'clock in the morning, somone has to keep him awake and driving in a straight line. I volunteered. Because I'm stupid. Still, I am getting another bookcase myself out of the deal, so that'll help tidy the place up a bit more.

*squee* And California Screaming seems to be going down very well indeed. Didn't think I'd get that much of a reception, but it's flowing well at the moment, and part 3's been sent off to beta already.

Brilliant!

Stupid o'clock in the morning? [digs around for tiny violin] I have to do that once a month. Work sends me to a place that is two and a halfish hours away, expects me to stay there for at least 5 hours, and then come back the same day.

And I get to drive the crappy-assed company van that half of the stuff doesn't work on. In the snow. Uphill. Both ways.

At least this is a one-time deal for you. :-D

Anyway...

I'm glad to hear that part 3 of California Screaming is completed and is off at beta.

As for Veronica Mars; I've seen the first three episodes now, and I can now safely say that it is scary just how well you capture Veronica.

And I blame you every bit for this new addiction.

:-)

Veronica Screaming [sweetjane_69]

Dude - I ended up watching 15 episodes of Veronica Mars in 5 days. I fully understand the addictive qualities.

Gandalf Cannot Pass

After watching through to S1E10, I re-read California Screaming, and I must admit that it makes a hellavalot more sence now. Especially the Weevil/Robin Wood comment.

Isn't Milton Keynes that wierd town that both Crowley and Aziraphale take credit for?

That's right.

Gospel Booster [jennymalfoy]

After being there, I'm sure it's the 'blame' they should be arguing over. Too many roundabouts when you're trying to take an extra wide camper trailer back.

Faith - Naked (mine)

You are aware that all financial arrangements are negotiable. Especially accommodations. I have said quite a few times that I am well aware that it was MY prefs. that determined the price for that hotel. *frets* All I ask is that you are honest with me about it...There is always a solution or workaround.

Less than two weeks!!! Woot!!

Indeed - but I still feel as if you are being my guest if that makes any sense. Just a stiff necked Brit thing.

Tick tock! Woot!

*makes note : bring custard*

Michael here...

I know you wrote "stiff-necked Brit thing," but I totally just read "stiff nekked Brit thing" and almost sprayed Coke all over the computer screen before I re-read.
I've been in and around the American South for too long.

Faith - Normal [freeswimmer11]

I was going to stay out of this but your opening line...

He posted that and then said, sadly, "John is going to think that all I talk about is sex."

To which I HAD to reply, "Oh...so it will be like he really does know you".

*laughs* He walked right into that one.

Sam/Sun

Surely this is the time to get him worried about what you've told me about him....

Particularly when you mentioned that incident...

Re: Ves Again

Random question: Do you have a washer/dryer in your apartment? Or somewhere close?

Thinking about what I am packing. I can get away with packing less if I can do wash at some point. Stupid jeans that stretch out...

Re: Ves Again

No sorry, I don't. I get all my clothes done by service wash some way away at a place that won't be open on the Sunday.

:( Sorry.

Re: Ves Again

Oh well. Good to know.

I am just panicking about everything at this point. :P

This IS Ves

Yeah, after being shamelessly teased about the custard thing I did hear that info got passed on. I make no promises about repeat performances though, as I have no idea what it is I did besides eat some custard. Well, technically it was creme brulee....but whatever. *grin*

Re: the guestage - okay. If the idea makes you happy. I was thinking of it as me invading your country and dragging a few of you along on my pilaging spree for kicks. :D

Veronica Screaming [sweetjane_69]

I'm sure we shall argue some more about it at the time. :D Arm wrestling sounds fun... :P

And pillage away, baby! Just beware of ending up in custody...
