Eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith:

"I was thinking, ‘Who in the world has a brain and a silliness which is close to the Doctor?’ and then I saw that photograph of Albert Einstein poking his tongue out and it just clicked. I found this book of quotes by Einstein – which I recommend as a life choice, he was such an insightful man – and I started writing short stories about Einstein and the Doctor, where the Doctor was getting irritated with the great man’s buffoonery. He’d be saying, ‘Come on, Albert, keep up!’ and I think that, more than anything, was my way in to the part."

Matt Smith writes fanfic!

Bwahahaha! One of us! One of us!

David Tennant's self-insert fic begs to differ!

K9

After noticing how they'd been showing the Doctor visiting famous writers (William Shakespeare, Agatha Christie...) I'm guessing that a visit to Jane Austen is probably coming up sooner or later...

Bouncy Ball

Unfortunately, after ITV's Lost in Austen, I suspect that well's dried up for a few years.

Seeing this (for some reason) just reminded me that Remix sign-ups close tomorrow... or maybe it's still today in that time zone still, idk.

Gah. I think I need to just flip a coin and be done with it. :S

How has Doctor Who not had a Joan of Arc episode already? (then again, I think there have been something like four Shakespeare episodes).

And totally: one of us.

A Joan of Arc episode would be a really sad one though because she dies in the end. It would be a real emo episode.

FFIX black mage

I don't really care that much about Doctor Who, but I still love this. It seems to be a peculiarly British thing that we cast leads who turn out to be a little bit loserish... (Can't imagine any of the BSG lot admitting this!)
