No more House calls?

September 26th, 2009 (11:04 am)

Cameron fired from House.

It apparently wasn't her idea to quit, she won't be killed off, and Chase will be staying. This is certainly not what I was expecting.

........this means lots more of that damn 13, doesn't it?

House-too stoned to tell

Got to wonder if there were on set tensions between JM and JS once they broke up and the producers made a choice. They never looked particularly comfortable as a couple even when they were one, and it hasn't improved.

Oh dear, yes. More 13. *gloom*

Well, to be honest, the fact that it's Cameron going and not Chase in that case really does surprise me. Much as I love Chase, the House/Cameron relationship is one that you don't see anywhere else in the cast. After getting over the crush thing, they've become a male-female professional/friends thing which House certainly doesn't get with 13 or Cuddy.

Mind you, I do think Chase actually gets House, and is the closest one out of the original Cottages to House in his skills, so no complaints that they're keeping him.

Well, she was barely used last season, so I'm not terribly surprised.

But yay, more 13. ;)

I might be a bit in the minority here, but I'm not the least bit sad to see her go. In fact I'd have been happy if she'd been gone completely when the new team started but I don't think the writing staff really had the balls to cut everything off like that. She was useless after the new team arrived, Chase was needed because he was surgical dude and Foreman was there because he was too much like House to be anywhere else. I felt like Cameron was just there for fear of fan backlash.

13 is fine, I had nothing against her or, really, to prefer her. She just is. Though I'm hoping/expecting she'll be gone about mid-season next year. Then we get someone new. Maybe Autumn Reeser, just to appease my eye orbs.

Got to admit to being surprised they actually kept the original three mini-Houses around after season 3's ending, so losing one by this point should have been expected. I just thought it would be by choice rather than editorial fiat.

I almost always prefer it when they're written out/fired over them deciding to go. ... That makes me sound like a jerk, I bet. What I mean is, I like it better when it's a storyline dictated "We're letting you go..." sort of thing rather than someone demanding more money/airtime and being fired or one of those backstage fights of "Either he goes or I go" where the writers basically get screwed because of someones ego or personality conflicts.

House - Horse MD

Hmmm. I'm not thrilled with what they've been doing with her character but it's still going to be sad to see her go.

However, OMG is House good so far this season (yes, all 1 episode).
