Battlestar's back

January 17th, 2009 (10:01 pm)

Haven't seen any talk of the latest episode on my flist, so I was completely unspoilt when I went into the new ep. Eeeep!

So, the gut wrenching 1-2-3 salvo of punches landed pretty hard. Duella blew her own brains out, Starbuck found (and burnt) her own body, and Ellen Tigh was revealed as the fifth Cylon.

Or was she?

About the only thing we know for sure, is that she was alive back then on 'Earth' 2000 years ago when the bombs dropped. As indeed, the other Final Four were. In fact, given the whole populace of 'Earth' was Cylon, one can presume all the known Cylons were there and have been subsequently reborn.

Remarkly similar to Starbuck in fact.

Whose dead body arrived on 'Earth', and have since re-appeared, re-born and flying a brand new Viper. Death around this place is not what it has been. Which, on a complete side note, makes me suspect Dualla'll be back at some point.

My big theory : The Cylons rebuilt humans who died in the original Earth holocaust, the same way Kara was rebuilt after she crashed. Everyone has lived before. Everyone is a Cylon of some kind.

Which doesn't make Ellen the Fifth of the Final Five automatically - it just makes her one of the reborn humans. Also, leaves me wondering if Dualla glimpsed some of this when she was digging on the beach.

"They have a plan." Ellen Tigh : "Everything is in place." Um.... suddenly, I wonder which group of Cylons have the plan. Cos, God knows, the current bunch of Cyclons couldn't plan their way out of a paper bag.

Now, where do they go from here?

I have no idea, but I think it's all a bit fishy.

RE: Your Big Theory

Well... I hadn't thought of it like that... but it makes a certain sort of sense.

God knows, the current bunch of Cyclons couldn't plan their way out of a paper bag.

A wet paper bag...
