I'm bored, so I've decided to make you all entertain me. *grin*

What are the three most embarassing tracks you have on your player right now? The sort of songs that you'd hate people to even suspect you like, let alone play regularly?

Feel free to answer anonymously - or be brave, stand up and be laughed at try to spread the love of certain songs.

I'm not afraid...

Three songs to be embarassed about on my playlist? *grin* I know that at least one of them is on YOUR playlist, too.

Wannabe - Spice Girls
It's Gonna Be Me - N'Sync
Lucky Love - Ace of Base

I love that song!

*Thinks* Honestly, I'm not embarrassed, but I 'spose some would say I should be. I'll put up three I'd guess most people wouldn't have on their playlists. *g*

"Flowers on the Wall" by the Statler Brothers
"The Name Game" by Sherley Ellis
"Son of a Preacher Man" by Dusty Springfield
"The Way that You Love Me" by Paula Abdul
"I'll Make a Man Out of You" from the soundtrack of Mulan (Donny Osmond sings this I think *swoon*)

And many more... *laughs*

Obviously more than three...but I got carried away and had to make myself stop!

Oh - I also have the Theme from St. Elmo's Fire, and "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" by Whitney Houston....

Awesome! Weasleys [samiamicons]

Got those two myself. *grin*

Must check on whether I have "Son of a Preacher Man" as that's one I do like as well...

"Son of a Preacher Man" by Dusty Springfield

Nothing to be ashamed of. It's one of my favorite songs. Granted, the list is in the hundreds, but....

Nick Lachey What's Left of Me is the main one I can think of.

I also have Britney Spears Toxic and Elvis Presley's A Little Less Conversation.

Bouncy Ball [crazy_lil_loud1]

I know somebody who's claiming that the only reason they have Toxic is due to the Doctor Who connection.

Uh-huh. Yeeeeeah. *grin*

I didn't have it until I got it from you, dear. And I only asked for it because of the DW connection and you know it. :P

Right now, I have Bette Midler's The Rose on repeat. Another favourite is East 17 It's Alright (which I decided to listen to on a whim).

*high fives* The Rose is THE BEST. :-)

Head-desky [lurker32]

*has East 17's "House of Love"*

I forgot about that song! I, um, don't mind 'boy-band' music. My cd collection has Backstreet Boys, Nsync, Westlife... the list goes on. Hmmm, maybe I should do this annon. :D

My Piano

Wow.

The Rose.

I learned how to play that for my sixth grade program. The choir sang it.

I haven't heard it in years... I think I have it around here somewhere on a 45...

I don't think that anything on my CURRENT playlist qualifies -- at least, not with this crowd -- but here goes nuthin'... In no particular order and with two added.

The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards - The Flower of Scotland
The Dubliners - Molly Malone
Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons - I've Got You Under My Skin
Duke Ellington, Featuring Rosemary Clooney - Sophisticated Lady
Arlo Guthrie - Alice's Restaurant

rock

I'm not embarrassed, but I think these are three songs people would not expect me to have:

"Complicated" Avril Lavigne
"Hopelessly Devoted to You" Olivia Newton John
"Superstar" the Carpenters

K9

No fancy digital player or anything, but I have two of these on CD and the third on a lump of black vinyl, and actually enjoy listening to them:

Toto Coelo, "Dracula's Tango"
Big Audio Dynamite, "C'mon Every Beatbox"
Monte Video and the Cassettes, "Sheba She Sha She Shoo"

`Eighties trash rules.

What the Bork? [jennymalfoy]

Toto Coelo did something other than "I Eat Cannibals"!?!?

I haven't been that surprised since I found Strawberry Switchblade's cover of "Jolene".

dalek

They've put out an entire "greatest hits" CD.

"Dracula's Tango" and "I Eat Cannibals" are the only songs on it really worth the time it takes to listen to them, though...

Songs I'm embarassed of? *Wibbles*

I have one Bon Jovi, one Christina Aguilera (but it's Beautiful, the merit of which I'll happily defend), one Nickelback (and not even the first one, which is the one I really like).... There's also a bunch of stuff no one would expect me to have, but I quite like.

Strangely, what I think reflects most inaccurately is the amount of music I don't have on my playlist. Or maybe the disproportionate amount of Rolling Stones (given that I only like them rarely, and in moderate quantities).
