If it's even HALF as good as Dalek, then I can't wait to watch it. I have it set for DVR just in case I decide to go out tonight after work.

BTW, without giving anything away, how is David Tenant's Tenth Doctor doing? Is he as interesting as the Ninth Doctor?

Dalek [by spaced00d]

"Father's Day" is, at the very least, on a par with "Dalek". This one hits you hard.

And Ten is manic in places, highly amusing, is rude and arrogant at times, cheerfully and cheeky at others, has a completely different chemistry with Rose and is just as watchable as Nine. And I cannot wait until tomorrow's ep.

(*icon love*, btw)

AB: No Plot

I think what I liked best about the Ninth Doctor is how he expressed a TON of emotion without saying a word. Like in "Dalek", wow, when he was telling the Dalek about the end of the Time Lords, I was moved beyond belief by what he was NOT saying. It was impressive. Of course I'm always impressed when an actor can so own their role that they emote thoughts and feelings without putting them to words.

TWOP crack

I totally recommend the recaps at TWOP (Televison Without Pity) for an excellent examination of each episode, including those little touches.

Is this better? :)

Yeah, I love this icon ever since I saw it and sought permission to swipe it from the creator.

Lil Defenders

There are people on my flist that would canonise you on the spot just for having that icon. *wide grin*

Firefly - Book - Special Hell

[raises hand]

I'm not nearly Catholic enough to canonize, but I am descended from the Queen of Germania (on my mother's side) and a Scottish Warlord (on my father's). I could probably knight him, but the title would only be good in my own little world...

[goes after paring to use as a sword]

Doctor Who - Rose and Ninth Doctor

I watched it.

I'll probably watch it again.

And possibly again a third time.

I always was a sucker for time travel paradoxes.

Huh. Maybe there is something wrong with me. I really didn't like this epi. It sort of reinforced my notion that Rose is dumb as a post, and for me, about as fun to look at. Her mother is a horrible shrew and her dad...well, he made the epi okay. But...I just don't get it.

Lil Wolverine

Hmmm... well for a number of us, I think it really hits certain emotional buttons. It hits damn hard in places. It got to me.

I having trouble coming up with the words here, mainly because it is all so emotional to me here. Odd.

Hitchhiker's - Um Okay

Hmmm....

*shuffles feet*

Okay, great. Now I feel like there is something wrong with me.

I mean...it hit that "our parents are people too with their own lives and issues and existance separate from us" thing. And a bit about mortality. I mean, I loved her Dad. Really loved. More than her....I guess that was the problem.

I just...I don't get it. It made me like most of the characters less and lose quite a bit of respect for the Doctor. He's obviously not as bright as I thought he was.

Yeah...I am leaving now. Seriously, I don't know if I can keep watching this show if it's just going to make me feel like I am broken somehow...This sucks. *wanders off, curls up*
