Bad way to start the working day : having the local paper running a front page story reporting that the place you work is going to close in six weeks.

I don't think I like 2006 so far.

Shit. That's not good... I take it there's been nothing said from your management? O.o

Well I don't actually start work for another 90 mins or so, so I'm hoping management will have responded by the time I arrive. *crosses fingers*

But generally, a quote from your union rep in the article is another not good sign.

It's very not good - sounds like it's a genuine story rather than someone just fishing. :crosses fingers also:

And :hugs: because that's just a shitty situation.

Sparkly crown

It goeth well. All assorted bad karma, and spare curses can be mailed to certain inaccurate local newspaper reporters.

That's sucks to begin with. Finding out on the news? That sucks like a black hole!

Hugs & good wishes to you

HOLY - *blink*.

Not the way to start, fill or end a day. Major suckage. Hopefully they have something to say at work. One would think they would speak to their employees first, but now seems like a good time too.

*sending you good thoughts*

*hug*

Better end to the day certainly.

Turns out that the reporter had the wrong end of the stick. Grrr....

Nice of them to let you know...

Hope you can find something else if it's true, or that they will have an alternative post lined up.

I think there's a number of pissed off posties heading for a certain inaccurate local newspaper reporter.

Even worse is the newspaper hearing about it before you do! That stinks!

Ack! I am so sorry!

On an even weirder note, you're listed as a person of foreign influence in my FBI file because we ate dinner in London once. Which means they might come ask you questions. Random, but hopefully not unpleasant.

Local reporter cannot tell difference between "sorting office closing" and "delivery section moving to another office".

Stressful day.

Burn the World

Augh.

Consider completely platonic hugs have been sent your way.

I'm sure things will work out, somehow.

I can't quite tell if you're mocking me, or things actually worked out.

Probably both.
