Try this : News 14 Carolina gets pwnt

On February 26, 2004, we had a snowstorm here in Raleigh, and all the news channels posted the businesses and schools that would be closed the next day. One of these fine news organizations, Time Warner Cable's News 14 Carolina, chose the most convenient but least secure method to allow businesses to report closings: the Internet. Well, it wasn't long before members of The Wolf Web, an NCSU message board, exposed this flaw. They went crazy, as you're about to see. The best part of the whole thing was once a closing was accepted, it could be edited on the Internet and would go straight to TV without having to be reviewed again, so a fake closing that seemed plausible the first time it was shown could be outrageous the next time.

Enjoy!

Heh. Yeah, that's probably true. =)

Besides, it's probably a lot more fun being British. You guys have all the cool swear words.

Dude -- I have been womanless for the entirety of 2005 (granted, this was all by choice, but still). My mind is incapable of being anywhere but the gutter.

Alice - Excuse Me? [icons_erased]

Minds being in the gutter has to do with being womanless?

WOW! No wonder I have a winter palace there - having been womanless for nearly 26 years. Unless hanging out with myself counts.

Anyway, it's a nice gutter and house staff's to be had for a song. I should throw a block party sometime. :)

You aren't womanless unless you're a parapelegic with no mirrors (or, I guess, a blind parapelegic). It's like Steve Martin said in L.A. Story: If I was a woman, I'd just spend all day in front of a mirror touching myself.

Your response was a lot more awkward to read when I thought it was from Booster, by the way. Note to self: Always check by-line first. =)

Faith - Smirk [slayergurl_icon]

If I was a woman, I'd just spend all day in front of a mirror touching myself. There was a fic about that. 'Cept it was Xander and Faith. *loves on The Zeppo In Mind.

Also - *falls over laughing uncontrollably* Yeah - by-lines are kinda important. *resumes laughing*

I've read that story. Interestingly enough, I loved the idea of the control room in Faith's brain about a bazillion times more than any of the smutty stuff. That was just such a cool idea. I think the whole story could've been about Xander in there and I would've been happy.

Faith - WildThing [freeswimmer11]

I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but read that mostly to watch the two most oversexed people on that show figure out new ways to get Faith off. Oh, and the plotting. It was really quite brilliant.

*hangs head* And the sex. I totally laughed out loud when Faith pleasuring herself is what brought Xander out the abyss. My co-workers once again had proof that I am nuts. Drat.

Superb story - and worked so well on so many levels. The sex stuff, Faith's control room, the body switching/control, and soldier and the hyena. One of my favourites.

Faith/Xander is my favorite ship to see good writers do. But I hate it with writers who aren't that talented. They're two of the most uncommunicative people in the entire 'verse -- they talk, but they don't communicate well at all. They keep people at a distance. They lie about how they feel. Etc. Etc. So, to get them together, you really have to work the story. You can get them to fuck at any time, not a big deal, all you need is a bit of tension and a reasonably comfortable flat surface ("reasonably comfortable flat surface" being a line I stole from Melanie Rawn). But to get them truly together... That's hard. Zeppo In Mind works it well, and originally. It was quite interesting.

I am not so much about the Faith/Xander. Then again, *ducks* I am not so much about the Xander. I just - oddly I can't really identify with him and I didn't really spend my teen years fantasizing about him so...

Xander penis [Lil Amy]

Ahhhh... now I do identify with Xander a lot - the continual joking, complete inability around women, the not being particularly smart in class at times.

Part of why I'm a sucker for a good Faith/Xander. Though I do love Dawn/Xander too, but just can't see Buffy/Xander working.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, of everyone on that show I can identify really strongly with Willow and have fangirl envy for Faith and Anya.

Well, to be honest, the character I identify with best on the shows is Oz. High school was pretty easy for me. I was mildly popular, but not through any sort of effort at being popular, and I dated a really smart redhead. So... yeah. Go figure. =)

I like to write Xander and Faith because they were the least explored and most complicated characters. Actually -- and here, I suppose I should duck -- I don't find Eliza Dushku to be all that attractive. She's gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but when I say "attractive" I'm talking about whether or not I'm attracted to her. It's a different animal, you know?

Of course you know. =) I mean, it's a people thing, after all.

I think I can live with you not wanting into ED's pants. *pat pat*

I think she is pretty...but I find quite a few actresses pretty. I certainly don't watch anything just because ED is in it. :)

As a person, I have no opinion of Eliza. Actually, there are very few celebs I like as people. Characters are one thing...real life people are another.

From what I have seen of him, I rather like Hugh Grant. He has a nice self-deprecation going on and is wicked smart. He just seems like an interesting guy.

I really like SMG - though I don't like Buffy very much at all. SMG is down to earth and pretty eloquent. And I like her relationship with Freddie Prinze Jr. Now if only we could get her a decent agent...

The celeb I really adore as a person, and again with the young Hollywood with lasting marriages - woot! theme, is Reese Witherspoon. She is one smart cookie and she is just so grounded. In interviews, she really seems to have her head on straight. I kind of like that she and Ryan are making it work when everyone was betting against them. They have been married what...*wanders to IMDB* almost 6 years with two gorgeous kiddie-poos? I respect that. *shrugs*

Also, if you can do basic math and figured out that both those ladies are just about my age - yeah, that helps with the liking them.

SMG does seem really cool. She keeps in touch with a lot of the cast from Buffy, too -- Seth Green, Michelle Trachtenberg, etc. And, yeah, considering that her childhood wasn't exactly the thing of storybooks, that's really awesome.

I laughed at that, although I'll never admit in public to remembering that damn song.

But I must say whoever captured these has found The World's Scariest Weather Girl EVER. Those eyebrows just can't be human, and what the hell is that on her chin?
